    3. From Roz Bellis, I only mention this because there were lots of entries in the Nordhofen records for MYERS/MIERS. Plus, I notice from an online database that there apparently were marriages between the daughter of Yost HOPPAUGH, who died in Amwell, NJ and was from Seelbach/Flammersfeld, Germany, which is not too far from Nordhofen, and Johann Peter HANN. The database also notes that other of Yost's children married into the ALLER, JUNG (mother was ANDRIESSEN), and FOX (FUCHS) families...all these names are present in the Nordhofen church books, as well as my BOLLESFELDs (ANDRIESSEN is listed mostly as ANDRE/ANDRES). Yost HOPPAUGH's wife's surname, SCHU, may also have been listed but that name has not been familiar to me in my research so I didn't notice it. Just thought I'd pass this on..." Dear Roz, This is very interesting information. I have long wondered about the Hann and Myers connection. Did you know that Peter Hann of Amwell's farm is directly south of the farm belonging to Albertus Myers (who I think got it from his father John)? The earliest record I have for Peter Hann is as a bordering owner in a deed of 1768. Also Jost Hoppock's farm was a short distance down the road from Peter Hann. The Allers, Jung/Youngs and Foxes were not far either. Marfy
