Hi Carol, Thank you for the list of children for Samuel and Lucinda. I'll look for something on John W. who died in 1928 on the same day and month of his birth. Also the death of his brother Lafayette the following day??? sounds too coincidental. Will let you know if there is something for John W. and Lafayette Davenport in 1928. Hi Pam, I know the dates of death are correct from the records of death and family history that was passed down to me. John's wife died May 22, 1928 also. It was a sad month for the family. John's date of birth as recorded on the death record I believe to be incorrect. I don't think his daughter, the informant, was with it either because she had just lost her mother and father who were living with her and I'm sure she cared for them during their last days, or because of her own problems. She also listed his parents as Aron Davenport & Laura Myers which led me on a long fruitless search for many years. From John's Civil War papers I figure that he was born in August of 1843 but that is still close. Lafayette was living John and his wife, Elizabeth, and listed as "brother" in the 1920 census. Thanks for any information you can give me on any of this Davenport group --- from John and his brothers and sisters back to their grandparents Peter Davenport and Ann Cole. I really am aiming at connecting to the Humphrey Davenport line. By DNA testing I know that I do but haven't as yet found the connection. Carol ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pamelyn P.
