    3. Joyce, Thank you for your response. The caption under George Butler's name is: "Him we call an artist." It indicates that he participated on the Crescent (yearbook) staff, class play and the athletic association. Subsequent pages of this yearbook show that the senior play was "Golden Days", which was originally on Broadway in 1918, and dealt with a war theme. Young George played the character of "Lloyd Henderson". He also played in "Comus, A Masque" by John Milton. George portrayed "The Earl of Bridgewater". At the back of the yearbook, there is a neat little update of graduating classes, 1888 through 1923, by student name. It shows basically "who's doing what", including tidbits about marriages, jobs, etc. (six pages). I will post this informaton to my website shortly, as it makes for interesting reading. http://www.geocities.com/bgmcdonough.geo Beverly G.
