Joyce; Noticed your post regarding Clinton High School and that you are related to Butlers. Do you have info on who his grandparents were? My g-g-grandmother was born Caroline Butler in either Warren or Hunterdon Co. in 1838 to John and Eliza Butler. She pretty much grew up in Hunterdon Co and married John Probasco. They built a home that still stands just south of Pittstown, which I was lucky enough to visit a few years ago! (I live in Kansas.) She had brothers named John, David and William born between 1843 and 1848 and I am looking for descendants of theirs. John Probasco and Caroline Butler Probasco's only son, William Probasco, was born there in 1856, but went west as a young man and married and raised his family in southwestern Iowa. His daughter was my grandmother and I know that as a little girl she went back to visit her grandparents in NJ with her father on the train between 1905-1912, when her father died suddenly. Anyway, would love to know what became of my grandmother's grandmother's Butler family that stayed in Hunterdon Co. Are you any relation?
