Dave, You should include the Hunterdon Co. Hall of Records, just north of the courthouse on Main St., Flemington. I only had 3 hrs. there, and pulled 16 Deeds for ancestors. They have them indexed by Grantor and Grantee, staff is extremely helpful in getting newbies set up, copies are .25 a page. Might be a good spot to hit before you hit the Hunt.Co.Hist.Soc.(due to "open" hours). I believe they also have Court of Common Pleas, Mortgages, some indexed marriages....don't know what else, didn't have enough time. At the Hunt.Co.Library, I suggest that you hit their "Jerseyana" collection. In particular, you want to check out the volumes of "The Jerseyman" by Hiriam Deats, MD. There are tons of genealogical information in these articles written for the Hunterdon County Hist. Soc.. I'm sure they have these volumes also at the Hist.Soc., but the hours are better at the library. If you have a digital camera, the library will allow you to take photos of the pages, lot faster than transcribing and cheaper than photocopying...just make sure to check each shot for legibility...I didn't until I returned to Florida with about 4 blurred pages...darn it! They also have the Beer's Atlas for Hunterdon there. If you do have a digital camera, and you do take photos of the Beer's Atlas, I would be "eternally grateful" for copies of "Bethlehem and Alexandria Twps." ;-) (The blurred ones that I now need!)
