    3. Does anyone know if they have any public claims books in Hunterdon County or even for New Jersey? That would be those people who were later paid after the Revolutionary War for giving something, like beef, barley, etc. to the Continental Army (impressed for public service) during the war and were paid back by the gov't later? They have such a book in Virginia by Abercrombie and Slatten called "Virginia Revolutionary Publick Claims." It would be volumes similar to this type of thing for New Jersey. Susan
