Marfy and interested parties, This is an offshoot from the *Duckworth/Bellesfelt* line of e-mails regarding *Cornelius Myers* born 11-18-1796 in Hunterdon Co. Cornelius' grandson, *Charles Blood Myers* married *Henrietta Duckworth*. Cornelius *Myres' *birth* *was the first entry into the *Myers family bible*. Cornelius was the seventh of eight children born to *Alburtis Myers* and *Anna Hann*. He married *Rebecca Mason* on 9-12-1818 in Hunt'don co. Dear Gary and Dave, and others, The Cornelius Myers's of Hunterdon County have bedeviled me for years. Here's some of what I've got on them-- 1. Cornelius, born 1747 to John Johannes Myers/Miers of Amwell (c.1725-c.1775) and wife Catherine, and brother of Albertus Myers [see Gary's note below]. In his pension application he mentions having to come home for awhile because Tories in the neighborhood had killed his cows. 2. Cornelius, born 1768 to Sebastian Bost or Boston Myers (born abt 1730, died abt 1808 Walpack, Sussex Co.) and Elizabeth Langevelt. I don't know anything else about this Cornelius. 3. Cornelius, born 1785 to Cornelius Myers (1), I think, married Hannah French 1810, died 1843-1850 in Delaware Twp, had four daughters. 4. Cornelius, born 1796 to Albertus Myers and Anne Hann, married Rebecca Mason 1818, died March 1843. A Cornelius Myers died intestate in 1843, and I haven't been able to prove whether it was #3 or #4. Until your email, Gary, I did not know who his children were. 5. Cornelius, born 1806 to ??, married Charity Williamson, 8 Aug 1835. Regards, Marfy P.S. to Dave, I'm afraid I can't help you with Duckworths. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Myers [mailto:grmyers@iowatelecom.net] Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2005 10:31 PM To: NJHUNTER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NJHUNTER] Cornelius Myers, Duckworth, Hann, Mason Marfy and interested parties, This is an offshoot from the *Duckworth/Bellesfelt* line of e-mails regarding *Cornelius Myers* born 11-18-1796 in Hunterdon Co. Gary, Marfy, and any one else interested, I recently discovered that I, too, am a descendant of Alburtus Myers. Not through Cornelius but through another son, John, born 8 Jan 1789, died 16 May 1879, who married Elizabeth Fox on 7 Mar 1814. I was wondering if you had any additional information on John's line.
