Per the following response to my posting on the HUNT message board at RootsWeb.com, Jasper & Joanna (-----) HUNT had multiple children born prior to 1754, leaving open the possibility that one of their daughters was Mrs. Francis-5 KRUSEN (see original message further below for more details). Any further information to support or refute this SPECULATION would be greatly appreciated. Name: Jasper Hunt Date: 30 Sep 1754 Location: Bethlehem, Hunterdon Co. husbandman. Int. NJ in 1754 leaving widow, Joanna, who remarried a Hugh MCALLISTER who resided 1789 in Alexandria Twp., Hunterdon Co. NJ with a Priscilla MCALLISTER in 1807 reported as a widow of Hugh (JR?) residing Sunbury, Northampton Co. PA." The ancestors of Jasper HUNT are shown here: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=i5rdrr&id=I18344 Q. Were Jasper & Joanna (-----) HUNT the parents of Mrs. Francis-5 KRUSEN? >From http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~streeter/CROESEN.TXT: Francis-5 Krusen (Derrick-4, Francis-3, Derrick-2, Garret-1) was born, probably in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, probably between 1742 and 1752. He died in Mansfield Township, (then Sussex, since 1825) Warren County, New Jersey between 7 and 13 January 1819. The name of Francis' first wife and the probable mother of his children is unknown. However, Francis was probably first married in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey between 1773 and 1778; she died before 20 February 1815 (Sussex County Deeds, E2:360)... If Francis and his first wife followed Dutch traditions rigidly in naming their children, he may have first married Elizabeth ____ and she may have been the daughter of couple named Jasper and Joanna. Can anyone provide more information to support or refute this SPECULATION? Thanks for your help, Perry Perry Streeter (mailto:perry@streeter.com) http://www.perry.streeter.com
