It appears that Caspar Schmidt would have been born about 1755 +/- a few years. Gertraut Schmidt is shown as the godparent for Caspar's daughter Gertraut's baptism so I assume Casper to be the child of Herbert and Gertraud. I will be reviewing some will's to see if there is evidence of that. In the meantime, I would appreciate any data you may have uncovered on Casper and his family. Although Herbert would be 50 years old, Gertraud is 15 years younger so she would be 35 and still of childbearing age. I will let you know if I uncover clear proof next week.
