    1. Re: [NJHUNTER] Carrie/Caroline Pickel/Pickle/Curtis
    2. Good morning, I came across you on NJHUNTER writing to someone else, but I was wondering about the MANN family. I am researching the SWICK family from New Jersey, mostly in Hunterdon County. I have a few brick walls and always digging to try and over come them. The beginning started with Mathy Swick 1674, m. Veronica Wolle b. 1672. They had 4 children, one being a daughter Anna Margaretha b. 1697, all were born in Germany. They left Holland in 1709 (Rotterdam & London lists, "Palatines of New York" Vol. II by Henry Z. Jones Jr. ) Mathys must have died somewhere a long the way, as Veronica Zwickin (Swick) widow, appeared on the Hunter List 1710 and joined the N.Y. City Reform Church 1711. She married Ludwig Leicht 1713 New York ( New York City Reform Church records) who had been on the Hunter List also. I read: Ludwig 1 sp. Engel Hoef ( 2nd wife?) in the Highlands ( the Highlands of New York? ) with his step-daughter Mrs. MANN in 1716 ( N.Y. Lutheran Church book. I am assuming Anna Margaretha Zwick ( Zwickin - Swick) married a Mann??? Wondering if you have any information on these Mann ancestors? "Early Germans of New Jersey" by Chambers, does not have the MANN's listed. Any information you might have and like to share would be appreciated.
