    1. Re: [NJHUNTER] JONES in Hunterdon Co.
    2. On the 1880 Census for Elisha, his wife's name is Emma C not Hannah. Did he call her Emma instead?? Showing that her parents born in NJ, too. Same as his. Or is Hannah an error over all. And or too, we know that Census can be taken with a "Grain of Salt". Also on the same census pages 11 and 13 are more families of HOLCOMBE and JONES very near to one another. Did you check into those families to see if their might be a link to yours?? Pat cw All I can do is ask/ In a message dated 5/27/2008 11:18:47 A.M. I have their marriage date as 1 November 1848. From her tombstone in Mt. Airy cemetery, I know Hannah was born in 1826. She died in 1902. As of 1870 the were living on a farm in Delaware Township near the border with West Amwell (the location may or may not be in Delaware Twp. today). The home is still standing. Unfortunately, I have nothing on Hannah C. Jones' parents -- she is definitely on my list for further digging. Hopefully, we can share our way to something solid. Thanks for writing.
