Could one of the Naylor/Nailor researchers help me out? I am still trying to get a handle on the identity of one DAVID NAILOR whose daughter Elizabeth married Thomas CROSSEN/CLOSSEN/CLAWSON on 8 Sept 1796. In the record of Thomas and Elizabeth's marriage (Hall of Records, Flemington, NJ, 1-97), it clearly states that Elizabeth is the daughter of "David Nailor of the township of Amwell, county of Hunterdon, State of NJ". So this establishes that as of 1796, David Nailor was living in Amwell. Elizabeth Nailor was probably born ca. 1775 and, therefore her father, David, may have been born ca. 1750. I am descended from the Naylor's thru Thomas and Elizabeth's daughter, ELIZABETH CLOSSEN who married URIAH AKERS( my gg-grandparents). Does anyone have a handle on David Nailor (ca 1750--?)? There may also have been a younger David Nailor who married Charity Nailor in 1797 and was possibly the same one who married ELIZABETH BOOZENBARACK in 1801 (or it could have been the older David marrying for the second and third time). Any light on this would be appreciated. Kay Larsen **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food.
