Oct 26, Indenture of John Cavanagh, late Shf of H.C. to Asher Williamson of Amwell, upon a judgment lately obtained by Asher Williamson and Henry Trimmer against William Rake in the court of common pleas in H.C. in the Oct 1819. The sheriff levied on the goods of William Rake to make the sum of $2,200 plus $3 in court costs on the goods owned by Rake on November 6, 1819. Cavanagh took in execution 5 horses, 4 cows, 1 wagon, 2 beds and bedding together with all the residue of the goods and chattels of the defendant, also all his right and interest in the farm on which he then lived in Amwell adjoining lands of Charles Sergeant and others, also one other lot in Kingwood, valued at 50 cents, subject to all prior legal incumbrances, and put the said lots up for sale, plus a lot adjoining John Hoppock of 25 acres. Asher Williamson bid $380 for same. Beginning at a corner to a lot belonging to Cornelius Hoppock and land of John Hoppock, 1) by said John Hoppock S84W 8.37, 2) by a woodlot lately Archibald BuchannansN 33W 9.40 to middle of the great road from Centre Bridge to Flemington, 3) by same and land late of Jacob Rake dec'd 20.20, 4) by woodland and land of George Holcomb S 32 E 13.60 to a corner near the graveyard, 5) by land of cornelius HoppockS 48-30 W 12.36 to beginning, = 24.75 acres, being the same tract of land which was conveyed to Wm Rake by Asher Williamson and Henry Trimmer, executors of Jacob Rake dec'd by deed dated 1 May 1818.
