I think Dot answered this one. Truman had three wives and Carrie Pickel was the third (my great grandmother). She had at least two children who died at about eight months old...a year apart. My grandmother, Ina B. Curtis, was born a year later, I think. Then they had two more...One died at age 21, and Luna, the youngest lived to be "old" when she died. I don't have it in front of me. She married Frank Church of Pontiac, MI...as she was from there...and Carrie lived with them in her later years...or they lived with her...anyway, together, and then they moved to Los Angeles and she and her husband died there. The census said that Carrie had seven children, but only three lived. It's way past my bedtime, but so much happened tonight...first progress with Caroline PIckel since I started hunting several years ago. I'm so excited.
