-----Original Message----- From: Joan M Lowry [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 12:30 AM Subject: GSNJ Spring Program Announcement, 26 April 2008 Hi All For those of you who have been wondering "When and where is GSNJ's annual spring genealogy program this year?" We can now provide the answer! The Genealogical Society of New Jersey's annual Spring Program will be held April 26 in Avalon NJ. The day will feature nationally renowned speaker Marie V. Melchiori, CG, CGL, who will provide two lectures. Marie's topics will help us all get more out of our research in the collections of the National Archives - whether in-person or on-line. A sit-down hot lunch is included in the price. It promises to be a useful and fun event. The event brochure is in the mail to GSNJ members and subscribers. BUT you can see it even sooner by checking the GSNJ website <www.gsnj.org>. Click on the Events link on the left and then on the "click here" under the Event information. For even easier access try this link: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njgsnj/pdf/2008SpringProgram.pdf Avalon is in Cape May County (which, for those of us in northern NJ, is pretty far south - wherever you think the north/south Jersey division might be!) There are several bed & breakfast inns, hotels, and motels open for business that weekend and it should be a good time to visit the area. The brochure has links to a couple of Cape May tourism sites to help you find a place to stay and places to play! So - why not plan to stay over and make a weekend of it? I know I am... More details will follow - but if you have questions - about the speaker, the topics, the area, let us know! If you would like a supply of the brochure for your library or society - please contact me off-list and let me know to whom they should be sent and how many! Thanks very much - we hope to see you "down the shore"! (I apologize to those of you who receive this message multiple times - we did think it worthy of posting to multiple lists - and hope you do, too.) Regards, Joan Joan M.
