Yes, my thoughts too. Would like to know your time frame for your DUCKWORTH surname. Also found recently, not sure how it relates to your surname of DUCKWORTH. Thomas DUCKWORTH married 1883 Mary Ann MILLS, dau of Samuel MILLS and Elizabeth HOOVER of North Carolina and Tippecanoe, IN. Enoch T DUCKWORTH of Iowa, married 1869 to Syrilda Jane MILLS dau of William MILLS and Rhoda Delilah LAWSON of Tennessee and Putnam County, Missouri. No, I do not know if these two MILLS families are related to one another. Nor, do I know if the two DUCKWORTH families are related either. Just happened across these entries, and wished to share. Pat cw Just in case, it may tie in with your DUCKWORTH's at some point. In a message dated 4/26/2008 4:11:31 A.M. I am a decendant of George and Elizabeth's daughter Mary and have been trying to find Elizabeth's maiden name for years. I have the names of the siblings in this family, and they match exactly the names of the children in the old posting. > > Does anyone know where I can find more information about Elizabeth Bellesfelt? Is she the same person as Elizabeth Bellis (I have seen reference also to an Elizabeth Bellis married to a George Duckworth) but have never been able to tie the children together. Also, if the original poster--David Sherman is still on this list--where did you find the names of the children--do you have any further information on these lines? > > Thank you very much, > Sherri McConnell > Visit the Hunterdon County GenWeb page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~njhunter > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message Visit the Hunterdon County GenWeb page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~njhunter ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message **************Need a new ride? The time frame for my George Duckworth is probably about 1770-1857. He quite possibly died earlier than 1857; perhaps Elizabeth died then, leaving the estate to be partitioned. Thanks so much for all of the help. I do have Duckworth's that ended up in Iowa, so I will check out that information as well. >From Hunterdon County Partitions of Estates County Clerk Book 1: "George Duckworth, dec'd. of Bethlehem Tp. The petitioner, Philip Duckworth. Other heirs, Jane, wife of George Cammeron, John Duckworth, Frederick Duckworth, Else, wife of Peter Oakes, Mary the wife of Charles Leonard, Philip and George Duckworth. Sale ordered. Recorded 11th Dec. 1857. Bk I p. 421" So clearly George had died by 1857. Daughter Mary was born in 1806--so I imagine George was born in the 1770's or 1780's but I haven't been able to track that down yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2008 11:58 AM Subject: Re: [NJHUNTER] Duckworth/Bellesfelt/Bellis - also saw as BELLESFELD > Yes, my thoughts too.
