Any help you can provide with any name that might match these in my database would be appreciated. Could you also provide a complete citation for the record you are extracting for the group. I'm not clear from the various messages what source is being looked at. Christie Trapp

When you get a chance would you see if there are any Raricks or BROWNS--esp. looking for David Brown info & his wife, Barbara Rarick Brown. Thanks so much, Joan Brown DeChellis Greetings from Seattle, I have long and long been on the search for Charlott or Sharlot BROWN, my great great grandmother. Sharlot BROWN was born about 1835. She married, probably about 1851 - 1852 to WILLIAM LANCE who was born about 1817 and lived in Walnut VALLEY or BLAIRSTOWN. Sharlot died between 1865 and the federal Census of 1870. I have yet to find a death notice, a place of burial or any other information for her, but I think her father was Isaac V. BROWN b abt 1789 and her mother was ANN of unknown last name who was born about 1796. It appears SHARLOT had at least two sibs: JAMES BROWN born 1828 and ROBERT born about 1830. Any help on this is very much appreciated. Thank you. Laurence Lance

    3. I appear to have reached dead ends regarding the following families and would appreciate any help anyone can provide. I believe they are all from Hunterdon Co. My ggrandmother was Mary Tinsman Johnson b 7/6/1864 d 2/12/1958 married to Elijah Lott Rockafellow. Her parents were William Johnson ( a nice unusual name) and Margaret Boss. Thats where my info stops on that family. Also the mother of Elijah, Margaret Case Lott b 2/26/1829 d 1914, married to William Rockafellow. I have all sorts of info on the Rockafellow side but none on these other names. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, Sharon

    2. Hi Dale, Yes we've been in touch many times before actually....we are cousins through all of these lines and your site has been helpful to me in the past when I was just learning about my families. I didn't realize until now that you lived "way up north" in Saskatchewan Canada however!! Cool - literally!! more like brrrrrr... I'm in the sunny but also cold lately, south - I don't really have too many "open ends" on these particular lines...although I've been interested in finding out what happened to Bartholomew Anderson when he and my ancestor John Parke and his brother in law- (brother of my Sarah Smith) Thomas Smith all fled Hopewell for Frederick Co. area of VA in 1735 after the infamous "Coxe incident".....Bart is not my ancestor but is part of the family. I'm the lineage leader for the Dr. Roger Parke line of the Parke Society and have been zeroing in on John Parke I & II's days in what became Hampshire Co. VA then WV since not as much is known about that time. My Parke line then went south to the Jersey Settlement where others of the Smith and Anderson lines wound up as well. Maybe now you remember me??? 2. There are still Kools in Hunterdon Co. to this day - in Flemington where I grew up the name was spelled Kool - as I understood it they had been German - Kuhl originally - this is not one of my family lines, I just remembering seeing something about them. Could be different family but something to look into to. 2. Do either of your lists show a Chapman? I am seeking a Philip Chapman and wife, probably Mary, and children. One son was James, b Nov 1747 and another was Benjamin , b April 1765, and 3 sibs in between, ( I think all sisters). They lived in Hunterdon Co PA and Bucks Co PA from 1745 to 1777. Cacky

    3. Yes, that sounds like my bunch. In particular looking for Frederick Cool, who married a Mary in NJ and then migrated on into Washington Co., PA. This Frederick has been traced back to the originalDutch line, but would like a marriage record on him. regards, Bob and Annie Johnson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Smith" <garymarian@comcast.net> To: <NJHUNTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 04, 2005 11:54 AM Subject: Re: [NJHUNTER] Records of Old Hunterdon Co. 1701-1838 by Phyllis B.
