    1. CRITCHFIELD Jasper, b. Lebanon 1726.
    2. Perry Streeter
    3. Per http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=updike&id=I05634 Jasper CRITCHFIELD was b. 1726 in Lebanon Twp., Hunterdon County Father: William CRITCHFIELD b: 13 OCT 1686 in Boston, Massachusetts Mother: Agnes OPDYCK b: ABT. 1690 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey Can anyone provide any further details on the wife and children of Jasper CRITCHFIELD? As a matter of pure speculation, he is another candidate for the father of Mrs. Francis-5 KRUSEN. From http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~streeter/CROESEN.TXT: Francis-5 Krusen (Derrick-4, Francis-3, Derrick-2, Garret-1) was born, probably in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, probably between 1742 and 1752. He died in Mansfield Township, (then Sussex, since 1825) Warren County, New Jersey between 7 and 13 January 1819. The name of Francis' first wife and the probable mother of his children is unknown. However, Francis was probably first married in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey between 1773 and 1778; she died before 20 February 1815 (Sussex County Deeds, E2:360)... If Francis and his first wife followed Dutch traditions rigidly in naming their children, he may have first married Elizabeth ____ and she may have been the daughter of couple named Jasper and Joanna. I live in ILL near St. Louis, MO. there is a web site for the listing of persons who applied for Naturalization there to which I have found my paternal grandfather and several of his brothers from France in the early 1900's. Now with the family in NJ I need to know info from the latter 1800's on the Buckley name. Is there such a site for Trenton? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ruth in ILL

    3. Actually what Gary did is not all that difficult - it is something all of us can do because we are using the Windows interface/OS (Apple people know that they had the first Graphical Interface). :-) When you have something in a web window that you want to copy/paste into an email or other document, move the mouse pointer/cursor to the beginning of the text to be copied and, holding down the left mouse button, move the pointer to the end of the text (watch the text change to 'reverse video' - white letters on color), release the button, change to the window of the email or Word document, put the pointer where you want the text to go, click the left button and select 'Paste' from the edit menu option. (Ctrl-V is the shortcut). Bob

    3. Bob, Thanks for explaining the process. After highlighting the copy one can press Ctrl-B to capture the copy and use Ctrl-V to paste it somewhere. The process we've described will help members who still laboriously transfer information to their files by transcription rather that highlight-and-paste. I didn't think to add directions on the web, but you've explained it well for those who are in a learning curve. The same process applies to accessing the website URL first given with the book query: use Ctrl-B to highlight and capture the address and, placing the pointer on the address bar at the top of the server page, press Ctrl-V to paste it and then press the 'Go' arrow.
