    1. [NJHUNTER] Oler and Kaes Families
    2. Nancy Lauer
    3. Hello List, I am new to this list. I am currently researching Peter Oler who married Anna Elizabeth Kaes, daughter of Johann Philibus Kaes and Anna Elizabeth Jung, in 1737, in Hunterdon, NJ. I have Peter's birth date as 1716 and his death as April, 1778. Their known children are Peter, Conrad, George, and Philip. I'm trying to prove or disprove that he was my 6th great, grandfather. If anyone has information on this family, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Thank you, Nancy Lauer [email protected] 410.707.7505 National Genealogical Society 2007 Award-Winning author: Family Diversity, The Lauer, Borgmeier, Bauer Families and the MacCubbin's http://www.nancywaterslauer.com-a.googlepages.com/home

    1. [NJHUNTER] FW: GSNJ Spring Program Announcement, 26 April 2008
    2. Michelle Chubenko
    3. -----Original Message----- From: Joan M Lowry [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 12:30 AM Subject: GSNJ Spring Program Announcement, 26 April 2008 Hi All For those of you who have been wondering "When and where is GSNJ's annual spring genealogy program this year?" We can now provide the answer! The Genealogical Society of New Jersey's annual Spring Program will be held April 26 in Avalon NJ. The day will feature nationally renowned speaker Marie V. Melchiori, CG, CGL, who will provide two lectures. Marie's topics will help us all get more out of our research in the collections of the National Archives - whether in-person or on-line. A sit-down hot lunch is included in the price. It promises to be a useful and fun event. The event brochure is in the mail to GSNJ members and subscribers. BUT you can see it even sooner by checking the GSNJ website <www.gsnj.org>. Click on the Events link on the left and then on the "click here" under the Event information. For even easier access try this link: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njgsnj/pdf/2008SpringProgram.pdf Avalon is in Cape May County (which, for those of us in northern NJ, is pretty far south - wherever you think the north/south Jersey division might be!) There are several bed & breakfast inns, hotels, and motels open for business that weekend and it should be a good time to visit the area. The brochure has links to a couple of Cape May tourism sites to help you find a place to stay and places to play! So - why not plan to stay over and make a weekend of it? I know I am... More details will follow - but if you have questions - about the speaker, the topics, the area, let us know! If you would like a supply of the brochure for your library or society - please contact me off-list and let me know to whom they should be sent and how many! Thanks very much - we hope to see you "down the shore"! (I apologize to those of you who receive this message multiple times - we did think it worthy of posting to multiple lists - and hope you do, too.) Regards, Joan Joan M. Lowry (President, GSNJ) mailto:[email protected] mailto:[email protected]

Try more general keywords. Also, The Hunterdon County Historical Society web page still has no email address posted. I believe the hours may have or are going to be increased. 1. Re: [NJHUNTER] Marriage records
    2. Hi Leslie, I have been researching my Allen's in Hunterdon Co. for quite awhile. I am looking to find my ggreatgrandfather's parents. His name was Abraham Allen and he married Margaret Bellis also of Hunterdon Co. They lived in Hunterdon Co. in the early 1800's as he was born in 1770 in Amwell Twsp., died in 1837 and buried in Newell Cemetery. I have tried numerous times to find who his father was and wondered if Deats book would be of any help and if it can be found in any library. If you have any suggestions as to how I could get any marriage information I woud appreciate hearing from you. Thanking you in advance for your assistance. 2. The [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) is not linked to a web-site. The URL is simply an email address, which members and others can use to ocmmunicate with Mr. McNealey at the Historical Society. No www. should be put in front of it or it will take you to the embarq home page. Secondly, the Hunterdon Co. Historical Society is open for expanded hours now (since March 8th) . It will be open the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10 AM-4 PM and on Thursdays from noon until 4 PM. Also by appointment at other hours. This information was in the winter 2008 edition of the Hunterdon Historical Newsletter which I received just a week ago. Kay **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. 1. Re: [NJHUNTER] Patricia sent you a friend request on Tagged :)
    2. Please excuse my stupidity. If anyone else gets more to these today, please just delete them. I received an email from TAGGED.com asking me if I would like to become a friend of Kathy HOLEDKE, and clicked yes, I followed the instructions, and I guess, the web site was trying to be like FACEBOOK.com. In that it somehow addresses your address book, and invites all of those if they would like to be your friend. I just followed the instructions, clicking away, and I did not realize it was going to create such absolute HAVOC. Had not idea if it were a SPAM exercise. Probably turned out so. Please pardon me for my naive behavior this a.m. Would never have done this, had I been paying more attention. My extreme apologies to the entire lists of RootsWeb.com. PLEASE. I am really so sorry.
