    3. Margaret, I had GBS about 29 years ago. I know how scary it is but I am fine now. The few problems I have are that my hands and feet are very sensitive to the cold. It took well over a year for everything to come back. Good luck. I have GBS (Guillain-Barre Syndrome) which is an autoimmune disease that cause paaralisis in the peripheral nerves--hands, arms, legs, feet. I am improving but still need a wheelchair to get around. My daughter is coming with me to the Symposium to assist. My husband and I are looking for an adult community in our area, but they are very expensive in NY. I am looking forward to our trip to AZ. Will try to call you. Margaret Justine Peterson <[email protected]> wrote: Margaret, A beautiful day today at 83. This is the best time of year here. Not to hot and not to cold but 50 is very cold. I know the Embassy Suites for we stayed with my sister in her room a couple of years ago. We live in a adult community called Leisure World of AZ. (not connected to any other Leisure World for this place was built by our local bank ). We are gated so you have to call us to put your name at the gate to get in. If you get some free time come over and see how other people live in this world. 480-396-6425. JUST BEING SMART. My sister had a place in Rancho Mirage, CA with each place having a separate hot tub. Her husband, Ed Heagen, was from Union City and we would sit around the hot tub with a drink at night and say "This is a long way from JC". I lived on Montgomery St. in a cold water, railroad room flat on the 5th floor and the winter was always very cold. My Mom and Dad never did get to own a home or car and was so proud when we all learned to drive. My oldest sister graduated from St. Michael's RC (about 1940) on Henderson 2nd in her class, also. You guys are just to smart for me. What does GBC stand for? Have yearbooks 1941-43, except 1944 when I graduated. Any idea of names you want? Getting ready to go to Arizona Nov 2 to attend a symposium on GBS at the Embassy Suites in Phoenix. How's the weather. Cold here in NY. Margaret Justine Peterson wrote: Margaret, Funny thing about reunions. My husband has never been contacted about attending one. His brother Bill lived on Bartholdi Ave. until the middle 1980's and we often went back to visit. My friend Gloria O'Hara got one invitation for her 50th being graduated in 1947 from Snyder. Small world but my friend Gloria had her taxes done in JC with a person who was arranging a 50th reunion for Ferris High so I did get an invite to that. Sorry to say I couldn't make it for at the time I was living in St. Charles, MO. and today live in Mesa, AZ. Could you give me some names that you have had contact with in graduation classes in 1940's. He had a friend across the street that he remembers burning down the side fence playing with matches when he was young. The only listed the graduati ng class. I didn't attend any functions either. Worked part-time in NYC after school, had my classes scheduled in the morning. Hard work, but graduated salutatorian. Has your husband attended any class reunions? Margaret My husband Bob Peterson graduated Snyder in 1944 in the June part. He lived on Bartholdi Ave. but worked full time most of high school so didn't go to any functions. He had two brother Rich and Bill. We moved out of JC in 1950.
