Hi! I'm back to working on my Duffy tree, frustrating as it is. I started working on my husband's tree because I was tired of staring at my "brick wall"! I was able to go back 5 generations on his mother's side in the span of a few hours. Boy, I love Scottish records!!! Anyway, family legend has it that my g-grandfather owned a pub in East Newark (or maybe neighboring Kearny?) at the time of his death in 1898. It was sold shortly after he died. Do any of you have an idea of how I can track down info on the pub? Since I don't have a name, I'd have to search by my great-grandfather's name, James Duffy. Any help is appreciated!
