I found an old premium payment book from MetLife Insurance Company and wrote to the company asking for any info they might have on my relatives named as insured. I got the usual "we can't help you because of confidentiality" statement from the office staff. I wrote another letter and pleaded my case to the president of the company and got the same response. I assured them my interest was strictly for informational purposes and not financial and that all the relatives in question have been deceased for over 30 years, but to no avail. Has anyone been successful in getting information on their relatives from an insurance company and if so, how?
