Hi Dolores, Thanks for letting me know about the T in library === I let the list know. Yes, the state now wants 25.00 for any record they have. I just got a letter from them stating that for any record for genealgical purpose, this is the guide line. birth must be more than 50 yrs ago marriage more than 80 yrs ago death more that 40 yrs agao I feel they should release more of their records to the archives. They only have records: Birth to 1923 they should have them to 1956 marriage they have them to 1940 So this is good on the side of the Archives -- if they state had their way they would only have them to 1926. Death they have them to 1940 -- they should have them to the yr 1966. If they would give these records to the archives it would be a big help to all of us. It was nice to hear from you again. It looks like the summer weather is coming toa end. Marge
We all know it use to be easyier and cheaper to send for records. Last year when I was working in Pa. research they kept sending my requests back for one reason or another. Sometimes they would only release it to blood relatives and at this stage of the game I am so far off the blood line. Did have to make a copy of my driving license and have it enlarged. Haven't sent for any in NJ in 20 yrs but didn't want to get involved. So I am looking for the easy way. Bye for now.
