    3. List, The History Hunters is an ongoing feature on NJN News. This announcement was on another list, permission to post here received. >>Date: Sep 29, 2006 **NJN's History Hunters take you to Jersey City, Monday, October 2** Historians say there are many clues that lead them to believe that Jersey City is the birthplace of New Jersey. Watch NJN News to find out why and learn about the state's first permanent settlement established there in 1660. The original town square is still visible and the city is home to the longest continuous congregation and the oldest continuous site for a school, where New Jersey's first licensed teacher served as headmaster. Documentation, much of it in Dutch, is housed in the Jersey room at the Jersey City Library. www.jclibrary.org NJN News airs at 6 pm; 7:30 pm and 11 pm weekdays << So, those of you living in the NJ area, you can watch it on TV, whatever NJN station you can get, at the times posted. For those of you who live outside the viewing area, I checked with the original poster to see if there was web access, and received this reply: >>The program is also streamed on our web - .... Our web site is www.njn.net << Checking the site, I found that "You can watch NJN Public Television live online. Live streaming is only available at the program's scheduled air time for shows listed on the Webcast Schedules. Streaming Video of NJN Public Television is available for programs produced by NJN. and Free Windows Media Player 9 software, which can be downloaded from the Windows Media Web site, is needed to view and hear these webcasts. You will need Internet Explorer or Netscape 7.1 or higher to watch " So, there is no 'archives' of the videos, but if you tune in at the scheduled time(s), you should be able to 'connect'. Maureen
