Maureen - Who are your Germans in Weehawken Cemetery? I have some there, too - Dietrich, Glaeser, some others I can't recall off the top of my head! - Lauren Lauren Maehrlein Maehrlein's Heirlines Plant a tree, then start your family tree! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, 11 Jan 2007 9:44 AM Subject: Re: [NJHUDSON] Cemeteries Richard, My Jersey City Germans are in Weehawken Cemetery in North Bergen. Looking at the registers, many of the interments were German. They don't do lookups. The records are in Day registers. Without a date, forget it! I know, I went there, it took hours to look through one of several registers! Some German collaterals (in-laws of grand's siblings) are in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. They have an online index www.greeen-wood.com Also, consider New York-Bayview Cemetery, it's in Jersey City, north of the Bayonne border. All three are non-sectarian. What time period are you talking about? There may be other possibilities, depending on time-frame. Hope this helps, Maureen On 1/11/07, Richard Van Wagenen <[email protected]> wrote: > Does anybody know if there is a German Lutheran Cem in > Bayonne ?
