    3. Please see three messages below.  If you could send this man a scan he'd be deeply appreciative!  Maureen From: spaghetticowboy@cs.com Subject: Re: McCARTHY Family Photograph Hello Maureen ..... Sorry for the delayed reply. I am currently off the lists and at my summer beach place .... and I don't check my mail as often. The link and/or the photo does not appear in this mail. Would you please send it again?   I have a James McCarthy who ...to the best of my knowledge lived in Philadelphia then drifted to Jersey and New York and who knows where. I have a photo of him during 1890... he looks about 30 yrs old.  I am not aware of any Shanahans at this time.   Now the photo you refer to may well be his father, who was also James and I would like to see if there is a resemblence.  Long shot .... if the person whp has the photo could scan it and send it to me (I'm in Mexico), that would be great! Adios .... Could this be your grandfather or great-grandfather? If so, write to Shelley Cardiel or to me and I will post on the Hudson County List for you. Maureen ----- Original Message ----- From: Shelley Cardiel To: NJHUDSON@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, September 13, 2007 8:42 AM Subject: [NJHUDSON] MCCARTHY Family Photograph I've "rescued" an old photograph of James MCCARTHY which was taken at the W.Snell Studio in Bergen Point, New Jersey.  The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with James likely in his 30's at the time it was taken.  In addition to his name, someone has also written "to E. C. SHANAHAN" on the back of the photograph as if the photograph was a gift to this person. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of his family.  If you are a member of this MCCARTHY Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
