Are you talking about the Top Hat? I think they held dances and catered affairs there. It was there when I was a child going to Holy Family School on 35th St. Ann In a message dated 3/23/2009 6:16:37 P.M. If so, I would love to have a photo of the building as my mom was brought up there. I used to visit my grand-parents there in the 1940s as a child. I remember it being a 4-6 story building on the west side of the Blvd. We used to go to Schutzen Park and the nearby Sears store. We took the bus to Journal Sq. and to a park with stone buffaloes in it. Also walked over to Summit Avenue and rode the trolleys. All good memories! My parents were married in St. Josephs RC Church in Union City on Nov. 30, 1935. It that church still there? My mom also went to school at St. Josephs. TIA for any help as I cannot get up to NJ any longer. It is so hard doing research from afar.
