Hello Everyone! On quite a few of the birth certificates I've found, there appears the name "Emelia Eppel" as Medical Attendant. I assume this was a midwife. Does anyone know if midwives kept records of the births they assisted and where such records might be held? The births were in Weehawken in 1880, Town of Union in 1871, 1881, etc. Thanks!!
