    1. [NJHUDSON-L] I MAY have sent you a virus-infected e-mail! Really, no kidding!
    2. ****ATTENTION!!!**** You may have received an E-mail from me speaking about photos -- something like I'm sending you photos that I finally got scanned. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHMENT. IT WAS NOT FROM ME! IT CONTAINS A TROJAN VIRUS! If you got this trojan e-mail, it's becaused it copied my address book and sent people it's replicated selves. According to McAffee Virus Scan, this is a "password stealer" for AOL e-mail, and if you download the fake e-mail, you will have these 3 immediately apparent problems: 1) if you use AOL, suddenly you are asked for your password twice. (If you had no password, it will tell you you typed it in incorrectly, and ask for you to "retype" it.) 2) If you use AOL, after you log on, there is all this busywork by your computer (at the service of the trojan worm, I presume) and it takes awhile before your mouse is responsive. When I waited long enough, it eventually worked. 3) When you try to shut down, the computer just freezes. I assume that by now the virus has e-mailed everyone on my address book, and sent them the dastardly virus. I updated my virus software, and located the virus: there were 4 instances of the "APStrojan.gen18b" virus. They couldn't be "cleaned", but only 2 of them could be deleted... I needed to search the McAfee.com website to locate the instructions to delete the mine.exe virus. I'm really sorry if any of you were messed up -- I just spent 2 hours digging the d... worm out. Good luck to you all, and warn your friends!
