Hi List I'm trying to find out about the Village For Epileptics At Skillman in New Jersey. My baby sister was placed there on January,31,1947 she was born,Jan,1,1942 I have been searching for her for many years and have not been able to find this place.I don't know if it is still in N.J. or where the records are.I just received these papers on her from a family member with other papers they found in their search to help me find her. Can anyone tell me was this Hospital closed if so where could I find her records. Where would they have put all the records from Skillman I was looking thru the SS-site and there was a record on there for the year she was born and the date she had just died on July,12,2000 I need to find her records. We were taken away by the State of New Jersey and made Wards of the State. She was just a baby and I was only 5yrs.old back then. I would be greatful for any help in finding.this place or where to look for the records. Thank You so much Victoria Necklen Strauch
