    3. Hi Carolyn: Is it possible he died later than the years you had searched? Your mother's memory might be a little off. Once when I requested a death record from Trenton and got negative results, someone wrote on my request which was returned to me "this death occurred in pennsylvania". I don't know how they knew that but it certainly was helpful. Did he go to a certain church? Maybe they would have records of a funeral and burial. Have you traced each of his descendents to his/her burial location to make sure he isn't with one of them?
