Hi Tom, I have the same problem. Have you located your people in any census schedules yet? They should be enumerated in at least the 1855/65 NY State Census and/or the 1860 US Federal Census for NY. If you can get their addresses, you can start researching the churches in their local neighborhoods... If you come up with any tricks, can you let me know?
