    1. [NJHUDSON-L] Civil War vet
    2. Ray Horton
    3. My Great Grandfather was Harry E. Horton. I know nothing much about him. He and my great grandmother Mignonnette (Nettie) Peacock Horton had my grandfather in 1881 in Jersey City, after which he disappeared. Nettie and parents had moved to Jersey City from western Tennessee in 1871. Family tradition was that Harry fought in the civil war. I checked Ancestry.com and got three possibilities. 1)A Harry Horton listed in NJ 1890 Veterans Schedules. 2)Only 2 Harry Hortons listed in American Civil War soldiers. One has different middle initial. The other was with 11th Minnesota Infantry. 3)A Harry Horton on Civil War pension rolls, filed in Tenn. (a Tenn. tie in could make sense). I downloaded the image of the document from Ancestry.com. Hard to read. Looks like unit listed as E 4 Tenn. Infantry. Can't find any unit with that designation. How can I find out if the Harry Horton in 1 is the same person as in 2 or 3 above? Any help appreciated.
