Would anyone have information on a Thomas CONROY BORN, March 9, 1891 in Brooklyn to Thomas Conroy and Mary Flaherty. they lived at 184 Wallabout St, when he was born. Understand that he might have gone blind in the 1920's , he had been a truck driver in 1910 at 19. His other siblings were, Michael b, 1892, Nora b. 1894,Annie b. 1895, Margaret b 1897 & Joseph b. 1901., these siblings were sent to St. Dominic 's Home in May 1905. Thomas didn't have to go , he was older and could work, Annie died in early 1904 and shortly after that their father Thomas was killed on the waterfront where he worked. While at the home Joseph died Aug 1905, children went home to their mother June 1907 address 49 Columbia St. , Brooklyn. Thomas no info on him: Michael marr. Eliz Lunann in 1923, 2 sons David & Edward, Nora marr. Frank Phipps, and had 2 daughters, Theresa & Honora, Margaret marr Thom.Lyons, no children. Between David & Ed Conroy they have 8 children. Theresa & Honora had 6 children. David died 1980, Theresa 1994, Honora cc 1957. Know the parents of Mary Flaherty Conroy, but not her husband's Thomas, or where in Ireland they are from, they arrived in 1890. Anyone with information on this family please contect us.
