    1. [NJHUDSON-L] St. Peter's Cemetery

    3. I've never been into St. Peter's Cemetery. From Tonnelle Avenue (also known as U.S. Routes 1 & 9), it appears to be properly maintained. It's difficult to believe that the Archdiocese of Newark, which has many revenue sources, would allow one of its cemeteries to fall into disrepair. The safety statement may reflect the cemetery's location. Although it abuts a very busy road, the cemetery is isolated. There are high speed roads on two sides and desolate, possibly abandoned, industrial/warehouse properties on the other two sides. In all likelihood, no one but the victim would notice a crime there. In contrast, Holy Name Cemetery has a busy road on one side and homes on the other three.
