Hello List Members, I am hoping someone out there can help me with 2 Questions. Today I received a copy of the 1880 census index for what I had hoped would be the family of my grandfather. Where his name is written there is also a space for "Relationship". In that box are the initials "NR". I am interrupting this to mean Not Related. Does this sound right? Any other possible explanations? Listed are a husband and wife and 4 children ages 4-13..2of the 4 have the "NR" next to their names. Question 2 is the address on this Census form, it is listed as being in Kearney Township, Hudson County and for the street it is written, "Back Road". Is there anyone out there who might have more information on the street name. The words are in capitols, for what that is worth. Certainly would appreciate any help with this one.
