Hi All, A few months back there was "talk" regarding books about Jersey City and Bayonne. Well, I'm starting to think Christmas and my brother would really appreciate a picture/history book about either city, but especially Bayonne, Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance, Karen Isley Seiferth Florida
Hi Karen, The best book about the early history of Bayonne (to 1940) is "Bayonne, Old and New", by Gladys Mellor Sinclair, 1940. The Bayonne libray found a couple of boxes of these a few years back and was selling them for $10. If you're interested in books with alot of pictures, the best are the two in the Images of America series. The are "Bayonne" and "Bayonne Passages" by Kathleen M. Middleton. You can order these from a bookstore. Regards.
