In response to the question of whether people from Hannover, GE were more likely to be Lutheran or Roman Catholic, I believe that Lutheran would be the first choice. From what I've picked up over the years, people from the north of Germany tended to be Lutheran and from the south, Roman Catholic. My grandfather's family came from the Hannover area and they were Lutheran. Hope this helps, Gail Anderson Bates
