Hi everyone, I'm new to the list and have some strange questions to ask. :) 1. My grandfather, Bernard LYNCH, owned a speakeasy in Hoboken in the 1920s. It was located on Washington Street, across from the police and fire departments. Would someone have a directory for this time period who would be willing to do a lookup under 'restaurant' or such? 2. Does anyone know if there are any surviving documents (police records, etc) on the speakeasies in the area in the 1920s? If so, do you think the archives would hold them or the libraries? 3. Does anyone know who was the mayor of Hoboken through the 1920s? He used to visit my grandfather at home in Brooklyn and we have a picture of the two of them together. However, no one can remember his name! Thank you so much for your time, Tracy
