    3. I am trying to find the cemetery plot for my great grandmother, who was married to Hugo STUMPE, found on the Jersey City, NJ, 1900 census, living on Ocean Ave. Hugo STUMPE stated he immigrated from Germany in 1880 and married my grandmother, a widow, in 1887. He was a painter and also a watchman. My grandmother was a toddler at the time of marriage, and Hugo STUMPE and his wife, my great grandmother, Amelia Elizabeth KUHL STUMPE raised her. I have their announcement of marriage (1906) for my grandmother, stating "Mr and Mrs. Hugo STUMPE announce the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth KUHL to George HANTKE......" My great grandmother, Amelia, was also known as Emilie or Emma STUMPE. Do you have a Hugo STUMPE or Amelia, Emma, or Emilie STUMPE in your lineage or family tree? Do you know of anyone by the name of STUMPE, or did you know of anyone who was related to, or knew, or was a STUMPE? In 1920 Hugo was found living on Highwood Ave, Tenafly, NJ with landlord, Philip Mildenberger. I believe they could have been a friends from Jersey City when they lived there. On the census (1920) Elizabeth STUMPE, my grandmother, was not there which makes me think she was deceased. On 1900 Jersey City census there was also a Herman STUMPE living on Ocean Ave. He was related to Hugo STUMPE, relationship uncertain. I am trying to tie him in with Hugo and Elizabeth. I very much want to find where my great grandparents, Hugo and Emilie / Emma / Amelia STUMPE are buried. Please email me with any information or leads that may help me. I am most grateful. Again, thanks. Susan Hantke-Ogden s1036503010@mindspring.com
