Via phone call there is no charge, it might be worth it to spend the money on the call. However, all the cemeteries charge for the internment lists. The ones in NYC also send a bill for back taxes on the plots. The Lutheran All Saints Cemetery charges at least $4.00 per name per plot. I got so much information that I was willing to pay the fee. I have looked at the films of the day books for Holy Name and St. Peter's cemeteries. The plots all cost under $5.00 when purchased, some as little as 1.00. A few I saw were free because the person was poor. As others have said, the Church takes good care of this particular cemetery, so I can understand their billing for the time it takes to check the records and write the letter. The records are not on computer, they are all on individual file cards. One file is for the index , the other for the individual plots. All these records have been filmed and you can view them at you local FHL. I do usually call first and ask what the fees will be so I'm prepared. I got my information today, with a bill for $25. Be careful before you write! I won't be paying this bill. Marcelle ______________________________
