I am interested in finding more information regarding my g-grandfather, Peter LYONS and his wife, Ellen CHRISTIE. They emigrated from (it is believed) County Cork, Ireland around 1863. While living in Jersey City, Peter became a US Citizen on October 20, 1868. A Charles LYONS signed his citizenship papers as being a person who knew Peter. In the 1880 census, I see a Charles LYONS living at 57 Beacon St., Jersey City with his wife, Ann and his sons James & John and his daughters Marurath and Kate. I'm thinking that Charles could be Peter's brother. If anyone has any information on this family, I would certainly appreciate hearing from them.
