    1. [NJHUDSON-L] Herbert A. Donegan
    2. Dear List, I was at the Kearny Web Page <http://www.rootsweb.com/~njhudson/kearny/> today and was looking at the list of Kearny men that died during WW II, attempting to track down information on some of my relatives form Kearny. On the list was a Herbert A. Donegan. A relative of mine, who was a gunner during WW II and was killed in action, came from the Kearny area. In fact, my grandfather James Clark (1898-1972) and my uncle Henry Clark (1895-1962), I am told, were also born there. Herbert's father Bernard, in our family, was the step brother of the six Clark children born to my gg: Henry Clark (1865-1941) and his wife, Mary Dunnigan (1870-1933). They lived on a farm in Kearny, but later settled in Brooklyn, NY. I am hoping this is the same Herbert. Bernard, for an unknown reason, later used the Dunnigan name, but changed its spelling to Donegan. I am told that Bernard's wife was named Irene and they had two children named Herbert and Florence. I would appreciate any help or advice you fellow list members could provide, in helping me find out if this Herbert, is our Herbert and advise me on how to proceed in obtaining vital records for those family members, that lived in the Kearny area. If any one is able to tell me the number of the ED for Kearny or would search any censuses for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Bob Clark
