I am interested in knowing the whereabouts of records for St Michaels monastery in what was called West Hoboken in the early 1900's. Also, where was West Hoboken? is it just Hoboken now ? Are the records available to the public? and if they are where and how? I am looking for my Aunt Domenica SPINA who came to US in 1912 and I believe entered a convent. I was hoping to find some kind of information about a convent in these records. Does anyone know of a convent in Hoboken or Jersey City that would have been around during 1915-30? thanks Judy Williamsjudyw@gte.net
