Is there anyone who would be able to do a lookup for me in the 1870 or 1880 Census, Jersey City, Hudson County for: Daniel D. Tompkins m. Jane E. (Hinman) Tompkins having 3 children: Daniel D.; Walter; Matilda I believe Daniel D. died in 1889. According to the New Jersey Directories, Jane E. was the widow of Daniel D. and she lived at 173 Van Horne Street. I am hoping to "track back" further into my ancestry, having been told I am descended from Daniel D. Tompkins, VP. If you would have any information or leads for me I would greatly appreciate it.
