I've been thinking about another order, whose Motherhouse is in NJ (North West, but I can't recall the name of the town) who were/are called the Sisters of Christian Charity. They had many foreign-born sisters who entered the order both in the US and abroad (coming here after they became sisters). They were more European than the Sisters of Charity from Convent Station, which were founded in the U.S. and seemed to be more Irish-American to me. Sisters of Christian Charity were founded in Germany and are also in Rome. Their foundress was named von Mallinckrodt. The initials after their name is S.C.C. I should have gone to the site before replying earlier. If the school for St. Michael and St. Joseph is called Mother Seton then we've definitely got the Sisters of Charity from Convent Station all right! Maureen ----- Original Message ----- From: "C.
