Hi everyone. My mother passed away in 1997. She had mentioned that when she was growing up she was caught smoking and had been cutting school when she was in 8th grade. A truant officer caught her and a girlfriend. She had to go before a judge and he sentenced her to be put away for a year in a reform school. My mother said seemed like it was really a jail. But her younger sister says she thought it was a convent. Funny thing, my mom did mention a nice nun that she took to. No name of course. Anyone have any idea where she might have been sentenced to? I think they lived in West New York or very near there. Thanks, Sally Devine Morgan
