Hi list, fr those with English ancestry the Yesterdays site, link below, has thousands of names as are found on official documents of parish and Quarter Sessions court papers as found in Derbyshire, England. Hundreds if not thousands of the people listed were not born in the County but came from all over England and beyond. As such lost ancestors may be found within the site. Various documents including Removal, Rogues and Vagabonds, documents detailing the search and affiliating of fathers of illegitimate children, a section on Law and order covering several centuries, plus a new section on Board of Guardians giving details of the circumstances the poor and their requests for help and relief and much more is to be found on the site.     3. Catherine Campbell BRIDGEWATER -- Catherine (Kay) Campbell died Saturday, Nov.1, 2008, at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. She was 100. She was born on April 24, 1908 in Jersey City, a daughter of Carl and Ida Bergmann, and lived in Hoboken, Belleville and Raritan Township from 1944 until moving to Bridgewater in 2002. A graduate of Belleville High School, she was an original member of Copper Hill Country Club and was a member of the Flemington Woman's Club. Her husband, Peter Campbell, died in 1978. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Dr. Daniel Thomas of Bridgewater; son Dr. Peter M. Campbell of Alamogordo, N.M.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, Highway 31, Flemington. Interment will be private. Family and friends can call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Northwest NJ Region, 7 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls 07927.     3. Under the law of most states, a probate case would be filed where the deceased was "domiciled." If your father lived as well as died in Hudson County, then his estate would most likely be probated in Hudson County. If the deceased owned property in another state, a separate, ancillary, case might have to be filed in that other state. The deceased's place of burial would not be relevant to where a deceased's estate was probated.
