I just found an ancestor in the Ancestry Immigration List and under the column Immigration Status it states: QIV. (NP) 4522. Does anyone know what that stands for? On the same page there are entries such as: QIV (2nd Pref), QIV (4-C or O) [not clear], QIV (PREF) and QIV (4-A) They all have a 4 digit number, however many of those listed are sequential numbers. Hope someone can help. Susan [email protected]

I received this message this AM, sounds like the best deal. In a message dated 11/6/2006 1:54:57 P.M. I am interested in making contact with any descendents of or anyone who has knowledge of descendents of Michael and Delia Flynn who in 1918 were living at 30, Seaview Avenue, Jersey City. Michael worked for the Post-McCord Company at the Federal shipyards at Kearney. Michael and Delia's known children were Alice born 1891, Joseph born 1894, Frank born 1896, Vincent born 1897 and Walter born 1899. I am particularly interested in Vincent who died in 1918 in a flying accident while serving with British forces in Europe. David Railton England
Sorry the message did not forward through. Ancestry.com is free if you access through the abcnews.com website and link through Good Morning America site. They had done family searches on the hosts of the show this past week. I believe it is good for Saturday and Sunday searches, but you do have to register at the site. Good luck Noreen
Have you loaded the index yet? It makes it much easier to read what someone is interested in. Thanks for scanning it into the site. Marge I'm fairly sure that the house number is 329. There are some other marks near the number that I can't make out, but the 329 makes sense in the sequence of houses. Hi Marge, on the previous and next pages it reads "Seventh Street, but I don't see a reference to the page number 95B. Other family members were Mary, Mary and Helen. Margaret, I had GBS about 29 years ago. I know how scary it is but I am fine now. The few problems I have are that my hands and feet are very sensitive to the cold. It took well over a year for everything to come back. Good luck. He did, and somewhere I have a list of contacts he had made with address of those that had moved from JC, but he passed away from heart disease in 1984. That's how I came to have his yearbooks. =epm= Ask not why the rose has thorns. Rather rejoice that the thornbush has a rose. - Anonymous
