Hi all, Glad to be back after several months of computer problems. Kate Fitzpatrick Norwich CT USA (formerly gravehunt@aol.com)
Hello Charline First of all, Bergenline Ave. Is not in Union, NJ. It is a main shopping area in Union City, NJ. I've lived in Union, NJ, for 30 years and I never heard of a Main St. there. I've lived in North Bergen and West New York, NJ. (close to Union City) also and unless there has been a street name change, I don't know of a Main St. in Union City, NJ. Hope this is of help to you. I am still trying to find information pertaining to the death date and place of Augusta Hesser Koepper who was married to Amandus Koepper. His obituary indicates that he was cremated and his funeral was held at the funeral parlors of Mrs. William Neckor Co. Bergenline Ave and Main Street in the town of Union and incineration New York and New Jersey crematory. I still cannot find out when or where Augusta Hesser Koepper died so that's my next quest. Amaudus' death certificate lists him as a "widowed" and wife's name is Augusta HESSER. Augusta was alive in 1920 according to census records residing in Union, Hudson Co ED 307 , Sht 4 although she is listed as "Mary" and according to Amandus' death certificate of 19 Feb 1925 he was a widower. Hoping someone would help me locate the whereabouts of Augusta Hesser / Koepper who may have died under the name of Mary Hesser / Koeppper. She was 57 years old in 1920 born in Hamburg, Germany. According to the 1900 census, she is listed as "Augusta" born August 1862 37 years old and married 18 yrs. A special "thank you" to those who assisted in providing an obituary for Amandus Koepper as well as a death certificate. Thank you in advance from a sunny (after horrid storm) Nebraska Charlene Email: _mihnbu@aol.com_ (mailto:mihnbu@aol.com) **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. This was on Google today: _Genealogy.com Stops Adding New Data to Website_ (http://genealogyhelpandhints.com/2008/06/02/genealogycom-stops-adding-new-data-to-website/) By Kathy | June 2, 2008 I was recently contacted by Genealogy.com, at which time their spokesman stated: We have stopped adding information to Genealogy.com . . . ” Ali, Genealogy.com It’s sad to hear this. Genealogy.com has been a great addition to family history websites for many years. If you are currently a subscriber to Genealogy.com, there is no reason to cancel your membership. Just remember that they will no longer be adding new data to their existing holdings. Anyone wanting to join with a new subscription should also be aware of this limitation. Genealogy.com is still an online library of great value. My father's family moved to 349 Montgomery St.last flat on corner of Montgomery & Monmouth St. where McCloskey's Drug store was for many years. Next block was St. Bridget's on corner of Montgomery and Brunswick (& Monmouth St.) I don't have census for the next street up. Maybe you have some names on your census that I might remember. I moved from Montgomery St. a long time ago in 1947.Justine ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane" <Muldune@verizon.net> To: <njhudson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 27, 2008 5:16 PM Subject: Re: [NJHUDSON] Jersey City Streets1880 Census > St. Bridget's is right around the corner from that part of York street. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: njhudson-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:njhudson-bounces@rootsweb.com] > On Behalf Of Justine Peterson > Sent: Tuesday, May 27, 2008 12:05 AM > To: njhudson@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [NJHUDSON] Jersey City Streets1880 Census > > My father was born at 364 York Vincent J. Hello Everyone, I too am willing to help out on this search. I have the Weehawken High School Year books from the years of 1952, '53, '54, '55, '56, and 1957. Some of these were from the years my husband attended and others were from when I attended. Good luck to all of us on our searches.
